Review: Saved a $150 stool! - We had a roll about stool. The factory welded an end cap on each leg with a threaded center nut that received a threaded caster. The tack weld broke on one leg and the caster fell off. The legs were 1/2" diameter hollow tubes. I cut off 1/2" of each tube and thus the welded end cap as well. I inserted these plastic sockets into the tube end and then casters. Worked fine and saved $150 stool Casters were from the Shepherd as well, from my local big box hardware store. (Shepherd 2 in. Black Plastic and Steel Twin Wheel Swivel Stem Caster with 75 lb. Load Rating (2-Pack))

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plastic sockets for bed casters

Initially I ordered 3/4 inch plastic sockets for my bed casters. They were too large so I had to reorder the 5/8 inch sockets. This was my problem. When the 5/8 inch sockets came I could not completely insert all the way into the caster. I could only get them about 3/4 of the way up. Since the sockets are plastic I took my drill and enlarged the hole just a little. This time I was able to insert them all the way in. Problem solved. So be aware that you may need to do a little customization even when you order the correct size.
