This 17mm Arizona leather band is no exception.The band itself is genuine leather. The Arizona leather has a different grain to it and looks kind of like a broken-in leather strap or belt. I like the look as it's a different look. The band itself is supple and wears well right out of the box. You have your choice of chrome or gold-tone buckles and you get quick-change pins that are a snap to put on. The bands are backed with a comfortable, smooth nubuck lining.This band, in black, is an excellent compliment to the vintage Bulova automatic I purchased it for. RLC offers bands even in those odd 17mm and 19mm sizes so many vintage watches require. They are also made in America and cost more than the Chinese-made cheap bands - a price I am more than willing to pay especially since the quality is so much higher.This is a good band I have no problem recommending. ### ⭐⭐ Straps do not fit! *by P***O on Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2021* The material and workmanship is nice. I ordered a strap previously, and in my review I stated it did not fit well but was extremely well-made.This strap is 23mm, not 22mm and the quick-release springbars will NOT fit in a 22mm lug width. It is a complete shame that these straps are so well made with such nice materials and they DON'T FIT! Please, strap makers, you need to evaluate how you size these straps and adjust. I'm an active member of a watch forum and would love to recommend you, but the straps, simply, do not fit what you say they will. Let me know when you fix the issue and I will re-order. Thanks ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compares well to much more expensive straps *by J***J on Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2020* Extremely good value for the price. I was specifically looking for something similar to an old Austrian made Hirsch buffalo strap I have, and this caught my eye as being similar texture and style, plus half the price and American made. There are some slightly better construction details on the Hirsch strap. The edges are wrapped around, bonded under the lining, making a nice welted edge on the Hirsch, whereas the RLP strap is a more typical construction, simply the top bonded to the lining, burnished, dyed, and sealed. The bonding of the tail of the lining at the buckle end past the keeper is also somewhat lacking, secured with not quite enough adhesive and two simple stitches. Hopefully this won't be a durability issue, but that keeps it from being a five star rating for me, but it's close. Unfortunately we can't do fractional stars. On the plus side, the stitching is tighter on the RLP and the nubuck lining is better stitched to the upper at the springbar end than on the Hirsch, plus the inclusion of speed pins makes it much easier to install without risking case scratches.
