As a matter of fact, I had to have a precancerous spot frozen off the bridge of my nose from my prolonged use of safety glasses. (!) If I wear any kind of glasses, regardless of the 4 different nose bridge/pad materials I've tried, my skin gets irritated to the point it takes 4-5 days for the irritation to subside. I finally pulled the trigger and got this face guard, and let me tell you it does a way better job of keeping dirt, dust, and grasses out of my eyes than safety glasses ever did. I should have purchased this 20 years ago. This face shield is a dream come true. Even when the wind is blowing dust clouds my direction I get nothing in my eyes. This is an absolute joy to wear while I'm trimming trees with the chainsaw too. There are times I actually forget that this thing is on. When I'm done at the end of the day I simply rinse it off at the sink and use a sponge with some dish soap to clean it up. Safety glasses were okay, but now when I'm using the weed eater nothing ever hits me in the cheek anymore. This face shield makes safety glasses seem innaffective. Instead of a 3M filter type mask I now wear a thin balaclava underneath the face shield. Unlike my previous setup, I never get steam or fog inside of my face shield. 👍👍👍 The knob on the back is very handy for adjusting the tension of the headband, and is easily adjustable even with thick chainsaw gloves on. Worked perfectly in my woodworking shop. It got so ild the plastic finally dried out and broke at the hinge. At the price it’s a great value. The new version gas a couple of minor upgrades too.
