It was quiet and dependable and moved an impressive amount of water. I was impressed. But then one day I made the mistake of moving the pump, by the hose I had fastened to it (it was not a cold day and there was no ice), to adjust the pump position a little and the stem of the male hose attachment (which it an intergral part of the pump housing) broke off like a piece of ribbon candy! It did not take much to break it either. End of story. The hunt continues. ### ⭐⭐ If I stick my hand in the sump and shake it violently it starts pumping nicely.
