A couple of weeks ago I was working in my garage using a Small torch with a MAP gas cylinder when the torch suddenly burst into a ball of fire. I dropped the torch and grabbed this extinguisher. I pulled the pin, aimed the tip and pulled the handle. TWO short busts and the flame from the bottle was instantly OUT. Wow. I was fascinated at how well it put the fire out. The year of manufacture is stamped on the bottom of all fire extinguishers now, and they should be refilled or replaced after 10 years have passed, regardless of the indicator on the pressure gauge.
