Girth measurement is 14 inches. I ordered an extra small. The girth part is too big. We can manage to make it fit him but the Velcro part is very overlapped. Cannot make it tight enough really. If it is too loose, he can escape.I like the design and when the girth part is tight, it feels safe. If the Velcro is were a bit longer, I would feel better about it.On the other hand, I've tried a few different brands (including for cats) and this fit the best. Maybe the size on the label stitched into the harness is wrong and it is actually a small? I don't know. I'm tempted to try an extra extra small. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty Good Harness *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2016* This harness fits my tiny Yorkie (7 lbs) very well. I am pleased with it overall with two exceptions. The velcro between the "shoulders" is not the strongest and comes undone quick often but doesn't affect the function of the harness itself so that is fine. The other complaint is that the buckle is made out of plastic, and cheap plastic at that. There has been more than one occasion where the dog has broken free off the leash because the buckle has come unsnapped but didn't break.
