THAT is who I want to grow my coffee, not some modern genetic engineering industrialist! Coffee is literally sanctioned by god (it's in the Bible somewhere). Drinking this is like taking communion. I am not making this up. If you have a friend, lover, business associate who loves coffee this is the MUST GIVE gift. The cute little burlap sack it comes in is a nice touch, but it is actually hermetically sealed in a foil pouch (inside the burlap bag). This is 100% pure - not a blend, or a trick. I am not a spokesman for this company (I have to buy my own coffee - grr) but I wish I was. JBM will ruin you for all other coffees - it is THAT GOOD. And this company lovingly grows their coffee with you in mind. I would expect no less since the cost of JBM is not exactly "cheap." This is one of life's luxuries from the people who made it famous. Review: Smooth Coffee! - I kind of experimented with this coffee using different temperature, water, boldness of brew to see how best to enjoy it. The aroma of the beans is bold and strong, but not too overpowering. I drank a bold brew, black and although it was smooth, it was kind of bitter. So, with another brew (regular), I used hazelnut coffeemate to lessen the bitterness. Although the bitterness was lessened a bit, the coffeemate overpowered the scent and taste of the coffee. I don't see the point in buying expensive beans if you need heavy cream and sugar. In another brew (bold), I flavored it with condensed milk. It diffused the bitterness and the coffee glided down smoothly. It's the perfect pair. I used double filter water for my best cup. I'm going to try it with Fiji water next time to see if it'll heighten the quality. The coffee itself is a bit sweet, while being bolder, and stronger flavored. It is listed as medium roast, but I think it is closer to dark roast than medium roast.
