It's pretty cheap, so you can't possibly expect much. I just used it to power a line-level signal coming from my home theatre to the kitchen so I can hear while I"m cooking. I am using relatively cheap speakers in there and I never expected to get great sound, just to be able to hear the dialog. And that's what I got. If you are thinking of buying this thing so you can rock out in your car or home or whatever, I think you're going to be very disappointed. Personally I don't think I'd use it for music, or for anything else that I really cared abiout the quality of the sound.
