Does it take a conscious effort"** A: It does take a conscious effort. The foot bed is higher than normal because the memory foam is thick. I’m very tall and have peripheral neuropathy so I don’t use them. The only way to make them work would be to order a size smaller so your foot won’t slide. I wear socks all the time so the slippers are dangerous for me. Off to Goodwill they go. **Q: I wear a men's size 8, 3e (eee) width. what size should i get? can i wear these with socks?** A: Yes with the socks but I'm not sure about the size. I wear size 10 and they fit fine. They do stretch out somewhat after you wear them for awhile. As far as I know, they are very easy to return so start with a size up and see what happens.
