I ordered two others and neither worked.** A: It does work for a while and then quits. It’s impossible to find the batteries, replace them and to get it working again. I’m sorry, but don’t waste your money. **Q: Can you get replacement batteries for this opener.** A: FYI: I just replaced the batteries and got my openers working again (one that I just purchased..argh!). I have one opener that requires the batteries to slide out sideways. I just realized (because it's so tiny, I couldn't see it) there is a tiny screw on the flat part of the unit where the batteries sit that when removed will allow you to lift the whole unit out, making it easy to replace the batteries. Also, the batteries on this opener were all corroded, so make sure to scrape off any corrosion where the batteries sit or when you replace them, they won't work. The other opener had the batteries stacked sideways in a little carrier that just lifted out of the opener. Anyway, worth all the trouble, just to have them working again. Also, I purchased a pack of 10 LR1130 batteries on Amazon for less than $6, that are needed for these openers. **Q: I found same opener on same site 2 weeks ago and the cost was $17.Why the huge difference in price?** A: Amazon offers various suppliers, all with their on pricing options. My issue with this novelty is that the battery life of these units are horrible now. Units I bought years were ok. Not so anymore.
