The carabiners make changing heights of rings easy and accurate. The 1.5 inch straps are very thick and strong. They can be a little abrasive on forearms, but I think they will become better through more use. They will last decades through normal use. The rings are very good. I do prefer these 1.25 rings over the 1.1 rings, especially when working above the rings. The grip tape has already fallen off one ring, and I will probably just remove and continue to wear gloves. I have removed the locking pins from the clasps because they are not needed, unless you are going to be doing extreme Maneuvers I would recommend these rings and I am happy I returned the “Amazon Choice” rings and got these rings instead.Using rings requires so many more stabilizer muscles. Doing dips or push-ups on rings is 10x harder. They are fun to use. I returned a popular brand ring set because one clasp on the straps was getting caught and it started to fray and tear the strap within minutes of use. Carabiners are better for my basic needs. Just a note, these are 8.5 feet or equal to regular straps with clamps of 17 ft.
