## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this collar be used effectively on other couplers?**
A: The Collar is only designed for the couplers that have a sliding sleeve, primarily the Bulldog and RAM couplers.  It works by preventing the sleeve from sliding back.  If the sleeve can't slide back, the trap door can't open.  Note:  Both of these companies also make other couplers with the Bulldog and RAM name on them, so be sure you have the style with the sliding sleeve (see other photos).

**Q: can you use a puck lock with this?**
A: People call two different locks "puck locks" or "hockey puck locks".  One is like the American 2000 series or Trimax THP-XL and is truly the size of a hockey puck.  If that is what you mean, then no, it will not fit over the top of The Collar.  The other lock people refer to as a "puck" is the 70mm disc lock like the Master #40.  If that is what you mean, then yes, it fits nicely and the design of The Collar helps limit access to the shackle making it harder to cut off.

**Q: Does the collar come with a lock?**
A: No. We recommend a disc lock like the Master #40 or the Master #37 laminated lock, but it will work with many locks.

**Q: Can this collar be used while towing?**
A: Yes, I use mine while trailering.   It prevents the hitch from opening while being towed and can help prevent theft of the trailer when stopped.
