I was also a little disappointed by how large it was.However, I use this bag daily to bring my lunch to work and, while it is a large lunch bag, I found this to be a positive because it can hold my Tupperware, ice packs, and snacks. The 2 drink carriers are amazing - my previous lunch bag only had one but proved so useful that I vowed to never buy a lunch bag without it. One reason I had to replace my previous lunch bag was the inner thermal lining was peeling and it wasn't lined on the bottom so any leakage from inside would show through to the outside and stain. This lunch bag is completely lined so it won't leak through, won't peel (it's not that silver thermal lining), and can easily be wiped clean.The double zipper is great so I can keep them both at top center and not have to fumble around on each side of the bag to open it. Handy if you're driving. Front pouch is great for anything you need to keep separate from the main compartment - like napkins and vitamins.I know this is a long review for a lunch bag but I can't say enough good things about it. It fits TEN standard water bottles and that's what I needed it for! I have eight regular water bottles in the pictures and four 8 oz bottles. I got the Cool Pack gel packs to go in it and I'll pre-chill. I was looking for something to carry water and peach tea into weekend softball tournaments and practices bc you are usually not allowed to take ice chests into ballparks and who has the energy to go back and forth to the car for drinks (or spend $2-$3 per bottle in the concession stand) for 2-day tournaments.So yay!! Easier than dragging an ice chest to practices too!Edit to add: definitely don't leave a lid untightened! It will run straight through.
