I read after I got them that they were not recommended for children under three. I wanted to give them to an eighteen month old great-granddaughter. It said they were 5 inches, so I thought they would be safe. I will hold onto them for when she is older. (Hope I remember where I kept them) OTHERWISE, I would have given them a 5 because they are cute. An older child would like them, I am sure. She has really enjoyed playing with them but they are cheaply made. One of the dolls arms broke off after just a few days of her playing with it. She still has 4 that look at so I guess for the price they are ok dolls.
