It was like I was actually present for all of the events that were described in the book. I was overcome by tremendous emotion as my heart was opened by the author's exquisite storytelling skills. The reason for my gratitude is that I missed the '60s and early '70s since I lived in Japan during that time of social upheaval, revolution and dramatic change in America.
