We have to really struggle to squeeze her foot in and once it's in and we tighten the laces the lace hangs so long it drags on the ground. If we cut any more off there is no way we could loosen them enough to actually get her foot in the shoe. The other drawback is that if she sits down on her feet, like she often does in restaurants to make herself a little taller or just playing on the floor, the plastic tabs are in the way and hurt her feet.
