I use this particular expansion just about every time I build a custom track! You get two 90 degree turns with a flat smooth part on one end (I usually use these when making short cuts), two standard straight pieces, and four 45 degree turns (which are incredibly useful for speeding up the game). You also get 4 plastic rails as well. Very much a "gateway" game, as those people that do not normally sit down to play boardgames will be interested in this.
