But this can mix 8 different sources, mic and/or line level and output that to a single, mono output. **Q: Can this be used for a mic preamp to my main mixer?** A: Since the SCM268 has both line level and mic level outputs, you can plug its output into either of these two input types in your main mixer. Be sure to set the MIC/LINE OUT switch on the back of the SCM268 to the right level. Mine came with the switch set to line level.
