I have squished the back of the shoe many times inadvertently, but there are no creases or seams in the leather. I know I've scuffed the toe numerous times, but I cannot see a scratch or imperfection in the leather. Not sure how they do this, but these are remarkably well-built and cannot be beat for the price.
