Location of production is China. **Q: Like 'em - look neat - but way over priced dont you think? Lot to pay just to get the handles added on?** A: I like mine. I got used to working out with one because they use them at my gym, but they can definitely be substituted by kettlebells and/or dumbbells. So for that reason they are overpriced. It is just the convenience of having a weight that you can use in different ways. **Q: Is the price for 1 or 2? The ad says it starts at 10 lbs but theres only a 20lb selection available.** A: The price is for one only. I bought a 15 lb. Torpedo but that was about 9 months ago. I see that 20lb is the lightest available weight they have now. They are probably sold out. My guess is that they don't manufacture them anymore or may not make very many. (Not mass produced). 2 years ago when I joined my gym they used these in almost every workout. I looked them up back then thinking about buying one, and at that time they were listed under a kickstarter campaign. So they are a relatively new invention. And I don't know if they ever "took off" in sales. It is possible they don't even manufacture them anymore. My thought was that this could be a nice piece to incorporate into my circuit style of training. I have been using it on a regular basis and find that it is ideal for chopping/rotational movements, conditioning movements (like man-makers and weighted burpees) and complex style workouts. I thoroughly enjoy complexes and often throw in a plate complex at the end of my workout, using a 45 lb. olympic plate. I have found that the Torpedo is a superior alternative for this type of workout. I am also working on doing a bottoms up press with this thing, but I am not quite there yet. I hope that Alchemy makes some heavier Torpedos in the future.***Update*** Finally got the bottoms up press...I 'm glad I bought this thing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Costly but unique *by A***R on June 6, 2021* Value to money rating is because the torpedo is pretty unique. Someone who is very short may not be able to go deep in a kettlebell swing movement but I had no problem doing my normal style swing.( I’m only 5’8 ).
