It's incredibly simple to use – just add water, eggs, and push a button. Voila! Perfectly cooked eggs every time, without fail, and soooo easy to peel! It's compact, versatile, and easy to clean. Whether you like your eggs soft, medium, or hard-boiled, this little egg cooker delivers. I had one in college, and was misplaced in the last few moves, I'm so happy I bought a new one! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Versatile and Useful Egg Cooker - Highly Recommended *by V***D on December 3, 2024* I use this little cooker at least once or twice a week. It makes great HB eggs as well as soft-cooked and poached. You can adjust the amount of water you add based on whether you like your HB eggs very done or with a soft yolk. The "omelet" function is pretty much just cooked scrambled eggs in a lump, which may be good for a dorm room, but would just be as easy in a pan. Everything else is very useful. My favorite is the poached egg function. TV chefs who try to convince me they're simple, well - I shouldn't call them liars ha - but they're not simple! But this cooker does them well. I just smear a tiny bit of butter in the little semicircles, break the shells, pop in the eggs, place it on the slotted egg platform, load the water up to the poached cup line on the included measurer, pour the water in the bottom, put on the lid, plug it in and flip the "on" switch. Then voilà! poached eggs in a just a few minutes. By the time I've prepared the toast, the eggs are nearly done. The only problem is that there ends up being some steam condensation in the little egg compartments and it's awkward to empty that out before you slide the eggs onto your toast, because there aren't any handles. But no big deal. Coupla words to the wise...read the directions! When hard boiling eggs, puncture the flatter end of the egg - not the pointy one. And put the punctured end on top, which seems logical, but a doofus on TV actually turned them so that the punctured end was on the bottom - with predictable results! The flat ends of eggs have a tiny air pocket inside and your egg won't try to pouch out of the tiny hole while it's cooking and make a mess, like I've seen in TV reviews. Second, when the cycle is done and the chime-y song starts to play - be sure to flip the switch back to turn it off. If you just pull the plug without doing that, the chiming will start again when you plug it back in no matter when. And I promise it will make you crazy, ha. I don't understand why people want the ones that hold a lot more eggs. How may hard boiled eggs does anyone need at a time? If you're making deviled eggs for a crowd, run it twice! The smaller one's less expensive and unless you make 1-2 dozen deviled eggs a week (who does that?) you'll be fine with the smaller one. I love this little thing and hope it never dies. Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EASY PEEL Boiled Eggs Every Time! *by 8***8 on July 30, 2022* Initially, I told myself I did NOT need another appliance for my kitchen! But the thought of never having to monitor a pot of boiling eggs again was a major draw!Now I can cook one egg (to garnish a fresh salad or cooked dish) or up to seven at a time. All I do is pierce the bottom of the egg, add water, plug it in and the unit will shut off when cooking is complete. The chiming music (I don't find it offensive like some people describe) will continue for safety until you unplug the unit.Side bonus: after cooled properly, the boiled eggs peel perfectly every time, even fresh eggs!! And, the unit is small enough that I can tuck it out of sight when not in use. Easy Peasy!!Update on 11/17/2022: I am using my egg cooker on a regular basis and still loving perfectly cooked/peeled hard-boiled eggs. I noticed after cooking, there is a residue buildup on the hot plate. After it shuts off and still hot, I pour some water to loosen up the residue then wipe clean.
