It was packaged pretty tightly and I definitely recommend washing it right when you get it. It is washer and dryer friendly. The first thing I will say about it is that it fits pretty well. I have a pretty big head and this actually fits pretty comfortably for me. The bands on the side stretch pretty well and the material does not shrink in the dryer. I tried the blowing out the candle with the mask on and it actually do not blow out. The material on this does not irritate my skin or anything when I am wearing it. The down side is that being a cloth mask, it tends to absorb sweat pretty easily so if you are going to wear this to work out be aware of that. In terms of design it is pretty good. There is a metal piece inside where the nose area is to make it easy to adjust. My only concern is that it will actually poke out of the ends over time. So far it is has not. In terms of breathing through it, I am okay with breathing through it. Even during work out and hot days, I was able to breath through it pretty well. For my dad, he had a bit of a harder time breathing through it. I am not sure why that is. It was as easy to breath through this as it would be breathing through those surgical masks. I normally only wear this twice or three times at most when walking outside. I would recommend washing them after the second or third time. If you happen to have bad breath, the material will most likely retain that smell unfortunately. Overall this is a good mask for one adult person. It fits pretty well on anyone's head. In terms of kids, this may not be the best fit for them. It has a down side of absorbing sweat on the bands and face if you are working out outside. It also may be harder to breath for some but with the candle test, I can say this would be an effective mask. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars These don't fit uniformly *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2020* We bought these for my daughter to take to college. We like the fit around the nose. One of the masks has a stretched-out ear loop so it isn't wearable. It was uneven. I have to stretch the mask to almost the maximum to fit on my face. I'm 5'10'' (178cm for those outside the U.S.) and have an average sized head. Overall I am happy with the purchase of these masks.Edit - the masks have a wire to mold around your nose.
