I had bought a few kits during a trip to MI and the aluminum oxide in the kit worked to a point. But I used this in place of the aluminum oxide, on a suede pad with a bit of water. If you lay the pad flat to dry, the media can be reused. Just as you can with aluminum oxide on a suede pad.Both need to be misted on occasion to maintain the proper consistency, but I got better results when I added this to the mix.I am a novice. So my experience may be taken with a grain of salt. Your mileage may vary.Update:I used it in my tumbler with sodalite & obsidians. The Mahogany Obsidian took 6 days, but the others only took 3.The Mahogany required a 40 minute burnishing step. I am thrilled with the results!I will keep M-5 in my back pocket.
