Make sure to back the bit out about halfway through to let the vacuum clear the dust. Let the drill do the work as much as possible - don’t push too hard. Make sure your drill is set to a fast setting. On my Dewalt 20v, I use the 2 setting for drilling and the 1 setting for driving the screws. I also use additional clamps to hold the piece as still as I can relative to the jig. Sometimes I did still get a slightly rough edge. Just give 1-2 rubs with a sanding sponge or a small piece of 220 grit sandpaper and the fuzz comes right off. It’s barely hanging on. **Q: What is the outside diameter of the dust port. My shop vac hose is 2.25" outside diameter. What adapter would I need to connect to my shop vac?** A: The ID of the port is 1 3/16" the OD is 1 3/8" **Q: Can you position a 2x2 so the pocket hole goes into the center of the wood?** A: Yes. The fixture is about 2 3/4 wide and 2 holes are about 1 1/4 on center. A 2x2 could be positioned to put a single screw in the center or so that two screws each about 1/4 inset from outside edge could be used. **Q: Can this be use on 3/4 plywood?** A: That is the most common usage for pocket holes I think.
