It seems to operate in two stages with a quiet initial stage and then more power comes on to get the board up to working pressure. It was easy to use the plus and minus buttons to set the pressure level it should pump to and it cut off automatically when the target pressure was reached. The power cable plugs in to the 12 v socket in the car ( good idea to keep the engine running while the pump is in operation). I really liked the fact that this pump has two ports on it, one for inflation and one to deflate the board after a hard day's paddling. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well *by M***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 September 2019* Takes a little time but is still quicker than a manual pump. And easier.
