So, you need to make sure not to place these in very heat sensitive places. So far, we used these on the granite countertop, stovetop, wooden dining table, kitchen tiles without any issue. Handled the heat well without damaging the mats.Like the soft, flexible material that we can use to fold around hot handles. Easily washable with kitchen cleaning liquid. I pulled the pan back out of the oven to pull off the trivets - they did release from the bottom of the sheet pan but they MELTED everywhere where they had touched or rested on the oven rack - and the oven was only at 375 degrees!!!
