## Description

When Derek Trucks (of The Derek Trucks Band) and Susan Tedeschi (formerly of The Susan Tedeschi Band) met and married, it was more than a civil union. They decided to mesh their music - and their bands - together to create their first love child The Revelator. In the process they found the perfect mix between Blues, Funk, Gospel and Rock, and The Revelator won a Grammy Award in 2011 for Best Blues Album. Everybody's Talkin', named after the song Harry Nilsson made famous in the film Midnight Cowboy, is their second album: a collection of fan favourites, traditionals and covers from heroes such as Stevie Wonder, Elmore James, Joe Cocker and Bobby Bland, plus the unreleased track 'Nobody's Free'. Music On Vinyl released this triple live-album filled with musical prowess in a beautiful 3-panel gatefold sleeve.Everybody's Talkin' is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on transparent blue vinyl.

    Distortion in Recording?

*by J***T on Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2015*

In October we attended a Tedeschi Trucks show in Huntsville, Alabama and it was outstanding!! Anxious to continue the good feeling from listening to their live music I ordered this CD. First played it in my truck and heard a strange distorted sound during Midnight in Harlem starting around 8:32 through 9:49 under the guitar solo. I thought it was a mistake in the recording or mastering. Listened to it again on headphones at home and the distortion sounds worse. Could it be organ or horns flourishes that are over processed? Anyone else notice this? I'll try and compare it from other sources.Edit: OK, I'm wrong. Watched T and T perform the same song on a Crossroads DVD. The sound I am hearing is from Derek's technique of while some strings are under the slide during the solo the other lower strings are being banged by his thumb/hand during.. Love this group and disc. Hope there will be a concert video some day.

    Not for Everyone

*by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2019*

Trucks is a great guitar player and Susan Tedeski a very good singer. But the jams are not for everyone. Allman Brothers, as much as I loved them, would drag out songs in concert to the point people just wanted them to end. Sometimes the jams just need to be shorter. Still, T-T is a very talented group.

THIS IS SOME OF THE BEST MODERN DAY, LIVE IMPROVISED "JAM" BLUES ROCK AT IT' S VERY BEST PERIOD!!!

*by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2012*

This is the Tedeschi Trucks Band (husband & wife), including a whole host of a total of 11 world class band members, performing modern day, live, improvisational (improvised) blues-rock,(including some "classic" cover songs), & "jam" rock, at its very, very best. This is the Tedeschi Trucks band follow up to their grammy award winning studio album "Revelator"On this live double album, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, takes live music, to where it has never gone before. They just let the music flow & follow the "vibe". They are totally in "sync", with one another, and the beautiful music, just flows.Susan Tedeschi's Blues Vocals are "Awesome", Derek Trucks electric guitar playing (including slide guitar play), is totally "Awesome". The rest of the band members are also, simply "awesome". This is some outstanding live music, period. My favorite song is "Midnight in Harlem" (Swamp Raga Intro with "Little Martha"). The song "Little Martha" was written by the late/great Duane Allman, and this "Intro" is definietly a tribute to him. This is definitely Album Oriented Music, where you just put in both the CD's into your CD player, and just let the Music "take you away".Thanks, and I hope this review has been helpful.
