The product itself works great and is very easy to install to a tree branch, play house, etc. with the ability to anchor the bottom of the ladder with stakes or bolting to structure( not included). I used mine for climbing up the side of a kid fort. My 9yr old absolutely loved it. The wood rungs are very solid and the rope is thick and durable. It is by far the most used item in the space. Kids from 4 to 10 years old just love to hang on it, swing, climb, or camp out at the top. In fact I've had to warn some parents to stay off of it. Despite daily use by many kids of different sizes, it's holding up just fine. The rungs are a little scuffed and dirty now, of course. If that was important to you, you could put some sealant on them before installing. I bought a couple of ground stakes and may try staking the bottom to one spot on the ground.Seems like it would be a nice way to climb into a childs play platform / fort / treehouse with a hole in the floor--so the child would have something to brace against as he climbed.
