Boyds offers "Miss Molly with Penpal"  #4827.  ED. 1st.  Molly's friend is, Penpal, a light tan coarse fur bear who is holding a letter addressed to "The French Guy, Paris, France"  The return address reads "PenPal, Boyd's Collection, Pennsylvania, USA.  Molly can hold a map of the world in one shaped hand and a ruler in the other.  Her dress is a red plaid with contrasting green collar, cuffs, and sash.  Her white shirt is finely pleated. She is wearing resin boots.   Her brown hair is medium length and ties back from her face. 12in doll with stand. 
Boyds Bears has this wonderful series of  "The Yesterday's Child" Doll Collection.  Artist for the "Friends" is Julie Good-Kruger. This group of  porcelain dolls with a “not so long ago” look is a great mixture of today and yesterday.  They are based on the original Dollstone Collection and Heirlooms of the Past.  Each doll is numbered and has the Artist’s Hallmark at the back of the neck.  The dolls are a mixture of Porcelain faces and resin hands with attached shoes of resin.  Boyds uses wonderful fabrics to dress the dolls.  Cottons and laces with woven blankets and accessories add the real quality a doll collector wants.   These are treasures for young girls and even adult doll lovers.   Each doll has her own bear or pet (mouse, cat, etc.)
