Thick and comfortable. It is long lasting as I have had mine a year. I'm still using it and would buy it again. It's durable and hasn't town makes any mattress comfortable. There was no odor!My first two weeks on it were stellar. The best sleep I have had in YEARS! Super comfortable and not too hot. You do sink in there though!!!This week on it I am feeling like it may be dented in and not springing back into shape as it should. I am a side sleeper and only 135 pounds so I should not make a dent in it. I read some of the reviews and settled on this. I got 3lb and 4inch thick and it is great. I literally took out the tape measure and measured it. It is exactly 4inch thick. I read the width and length were off and I don't know what a king is supposed to be but it measures exactly to my king size nectar mattress. I hope it holds up for a long time. This has saved me from buying a new bed, which I was so close to doing. Also the smell wasn't that bad. I put in on the day I got it. I hardly noticed.
