The cooler fit is perfect and provides just enough clearance (about 1/16") for the 4 sticks of Crucial Ballistix Elite DDR4 RAM which has somewhat tall and fairly wide heat-spreaders. Plenty of clearance for the side panel of the CM Storm Trooper case as well.At stock speeds, I'm getting 28 Celsius idle temperatures, and during heavy loading with stress tests, the CPU maxes out at about 67 Celsius. When overclocked to 4.8 GHz, idle temperatures raise to 34 Celsius and 72 Celsius respectively. Note the maximum temps are under heavy stress testing that is not indicative of normal use. Under normal use during gaming or processing and transcoding high-definition videos, CPU temperatures average 48 - 50 Celsius. These temperatures are achieved while letting the motherboard handle the fan PWM tasks on standard speed control settings.Installation was easy and quick. The provided alcohol pad, thermal paste, and screwderiver was a nice touch. Everything provided made for a simple installation with no extra parts or tools needed beyond what Cryorig provided.The fans are virtually inaudible inside the case with the computer running. The entire system is so quiet I have to press my ear to the case in order to hear any sound from the system at all.The fit and finish of the R1 Universal cooler is excellent. It is truly a gorgeous looking cooler as well, I have gotten nothing but compliments on how nice it looks. So it looks great and performs excellent too. Works well, runs quietly, & maintains low temperatures on my CPU. i7-8700K not delidded, with profiles to run at 4.2 GHz, 4.5 GHz, & 4.8 GHz according to needs. Using the included CP7 Thermal paste. Ambient temperature of my house is 24 C. Idle temps are 33-35 C & under load 40-45 C.
