Let me share a personal story with how I’ve used it recently. I have sleep apnea in certain situations (like when I fall asleep sitting upright on my couch). I was playing around with this oximeter the other day on my couch watching TV, watching my pulse beat away when I fell asleep. Next thing I know I’m awakened by an alarm coming from the oximeter and realized that I wasn’t breathing very well as I had fallen asleep upright and this thing picked up on that and told me as much! Then, silly me, I did it again, and this oximeter woke me up, again, with its chirping as if to say, “Hey fool! Your dying!” LOL! You can set the point at which the alarm will signal you. Here is was set to 95% blood oxygen level. This is a use I accidently discovered but has really woken me up (pardon the pun) to a medical issue I need to get resolved.The pulse meter is spot on. I can feel my own pulse in my finger while wearing it and it doesn’t miss a beat (sorry, another pun). Along with the oxygen meter and pulse meter, it also has what’s called the perfusion index (PI). This is the ratio of the pulsatile blood flow to the nonpulsatile or static blood in peripheral tissue. In other words, it tells you how well it can sense your pulse (20% being the strongest detection). Not only can this tell you if you need to adjust it on your finger, but it can help diagnose you with other cardiac conditions.The device is comfortable to wear with a bright legible screen and adjustable brightness (see pictures). It came with easily replaceable AAA batteries and an instruction booklet and lanyard. Compared to other oximeters I researched, the screen on this one seemed to be the brightest and easiest to read. I think I was right! I always thought it would be cool to own one of these every time I went to the doctor. It’s an interesting gadget to help you monitor your health I would definitely recommend this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Pulse Oximeter *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2020* I was hesitant buying a pulse oximeter off of Amazon, but this one turned out to be a worthy buy! I had never heard of LPOW before, but this one had more positive reviews than any other, and had the perfusion index, so decided to order. Got it within 24 hours of ordering (thank you Amazon Prime!) and was immediately pleased. Good durable construction, got readings within 6 seconds, and seemed great.I contacted a friend who works as a paramedic, and went to see him today to test it out. The LPOW pulse oximeter was spot on with SpO2, pulse, and PI with the readings on his equipment, so I'm confident I'm getting accurate readings. People kept saying that was impossible, but this oximeter ONLY shows significantly lower oxygen readings, and very inconsistent heartbeat rates, when I am wearing a cloth mask... and much more consistent and normal oxygen levels when not wearing a mask...I have tried it extensively in the same settings, with and without the mask, and only have the low readings when wearing a mask. I hope more people buy an oximeter to make sure their health is not being affected.
