It was sewn wrong. The buttons were sewn on the same side as the button holes. So he couldn’t button it. We had to use safety pins to close it.

You get what you pay for. By that I mean, the costume was not crazy expensive, and so I did not expect too much. Bottom line, the thin material looked good enough to wear for the grand entrance at the costume party before taking off the jacket and showing off the pilot t-shirt I got from the Luso Aviation site.

This is a nice cosplay pilot’s outfit in a dark navy blue color that my father bought here on Amazon for my son, and my son loved it.  The outfit is authentic looking, with a mixture of both high-quality realistic decorations and cheap-quality accessories.  Just remember that this is a costume and not a real uniform and you will be happy with it, because it looks believable and realistic, even if it’s not the highest quality.Pros:* Very Realistic* Includes jacket and cap* Metal star pins* Stitched-on gold stripes* Real “wings” embroidered patches sewn-on* Comfortable cap made from polyurethane foam* Foam shoulder pads on the jacket interior* Standard size (up to 46) jacket is quite large, roomy and softCons:* No pants* Fake jacket pockets (flaps only)* Buttons are plastic and loose/wobbly* 100% Polyester jacket of rather thin material* One-size cap is floppy… nothing to hold the top shape* White collar is just upper part of shirt (not a full shirt)* Tie is cheap-looking, short, and sewn onto the fake shirt
