These scissors are sharp expect one actually cuts. The pet shears aren't sharp enough and the way it cuts with the teeth doesn't really cut pets hair properly. You have to carefully cut your pets hair or the scissors won't grab the hair properly. Other then that the regular scissors are very sharp and cut my hair with no problem. Those are the ones i really needed. I would have given it 5 stars but the pets scissors didn't really cut well. The thinning shears look like they would cut more hair than other thinning shears I've seen, but I didn't end up using them for my trim so I can't say for certain.
