After deciding to refinish a Hawken muzzleloader I'd built from a kit many years ago, I tried another finish recommended on an online muzzleloading forum but wasn't crazy about the results. I had some Tru-Oil on the shelf that I'd purchased some time back for kit pistol (which I still haven't built!) because I knew I wouldn't need much for that project. I tried the Tru-Oil on my rifle stock and was pleasantly surprised by how good it looked. Decided to finish the whole stock with it, and it came out great. I'm always suspicious of five-star reviews and think they must have been paid or received a free product or something, but this isn't one of those. I'm just a guy really happy to find an affordable product you can buy almost anywhere that works really well. Sometimes you're just paying for the name, or for the expectation that pricier must be better (Think Orvis, for example.) Happy discovery.
