The clunky knit and warm color of the light gray throw-blanket added a nice touch of texture to the room. The blanket is made of a very fine merino wool and also has some heft to it (mine is 40”x80”). So long as you are using it for the purposes I described, it should last for years to come. The slight downside to the blanket is if you’re thinking it is something other than home decor and use it as you would an acrylic yarn Afghan throw, then you may be disappointed. While the clootess throw looks sturdy, the fine strand merino wool yarn snags very easily. If you have a pet who might sit with you or you carelessly handle this throw, it will fray. I use mine solely for decor and we’re pleased with it. Define your expectations for the throw and you will be very satisfied. As an aside, I dealt with customer service on this purchase and they were very prompt, courteous, and reasonable.
