I love the glass container as it is easy to clean and healthier than plastic. I use an immersion blender to purée soups so I would have no comment on that with this blender. Please do not compare with a Vitamix, that is a whole other type of blender and 4 times the price to get a good model. **Q: Isn't this blender less powerful than the cheaper version (waring mbb518)  on amazon?  1/2 hp (372.85 watts) vs. 390 watts**
A: I have had two waring blenders and was happy with them until I started trying to mix smoothies. They burned out and I resorted to the nutribullet. Less money but seams to be more powerful and I will not go back to waring

**Q: Is this tempered glass**
A: It is very sturdy, do not know if it is tempered.

**Q: I ordered this item for a restaurant.  the blender itself doesnt have anything about nsf certification but the description says it is.  any idea why?**
A: This is a great blender..I use it for margaritas .. home use !

I am an avid cook and I love this blender. It is just the right size for me, looks beautiful and works effortlessly. I have made sauces and drinks and smoothies with it. The blades have had no trouble with frozen fruit of many varieties. In less than 15 seconds I make a smoothie each morning. I love the glass container as it is easy to clean and healthier than plastic. I use an immersion blender to purée soups so I would have no comment on that with this blender. Please do not compare with a Vitamix, that is a whole other type of blender and 4 times the price to get a good model. This blender is on the essentials list of the Barefoot Contessa’s website highlighting essential kitchen tools. I love it!

### ⭐ Blender container rich in LEAD

EDIT: We tested the metals INSIDE the container as well. While the fins didn’t show positive, the metal used on the base of the container ALSO tested positive for lead. See screenshot. STAY AWAY from this blender! We bought the BB900G blender (which uses this container) around 6 months ago because it used glass instead of plastic, which (we thought) made it safer to use and truly dishwasher safe. The metal fins on the bottom of the container had a different color on them that reminded me of the color of lead, so on a hunch I bought lead testing swabs on Amazon and tested it. Almost immediately the color turned to a rich purple. The blender worked well besides this, but I am throwing this out and switching to another one because of this issue.
