Review: High Quality and Fun Activity - I bought these for my son's birthday party but we ran out of time to paint these during that time. I put it away to save for another day, and we finally got around to it last week while he was home for a snow day. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of wood, the base of the trains (wheels, magnets, etc.), and paint/brushes that came with it! My son (2) and I had a great time painting them and adding them to his train table collection. They fit perfectly on his standard size wooden train tracks and he is very proud whenever he used his Thomas the Tank Engine train to pull around his "cake train" lol
Review: Great buy. - My grandson is having a great time painting and playing with them

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do the trains need to be primed?**
A: No. My son just painted them. You can do more than 1 coat so the color is more vibrant but I didn't see the need for primer. He actually made me order them again because he liked these so much. We painted the 2nd set like a CSX train and with being thrown around and played with the paint isn't even scatched after 3 years.

**Q: How large are these?**
A: Typical Thomas size, some a little longer. The cake and gift box are removable and interchangeable.

**Q: What kind of wood are these made from? Would you be able to whittle one?**
A: You should be able to whittle, cut, or sand the top wood parts. Beware that some of these have multiple pieces of wood glued together so that may make it harder to whittle.

**Q: Is it possible to detach the wheel bogies from the big diesel engine or large express coach?**
A: the car base and its wheels are not detachable.
