## Description

Farmertec 92cc Holzfforma Blue Thunder G660 Gasoline Chain Saw Power Head Without Guide Bar and Chain All parts are compatible WT MS660 066 Chainsaw

Review: It's a beast - I am almost entirely pleased with this saw. I use it in an Alaskn CHainsaw mill. Things I like. It has power starts up fairly quickly, was relatively inexpensive and does a great job. Best of all it is such a great knock off that Stihl parts are interchangable. Chain adjustment screw stripped after a couple of uses, but I bought another on desertcart cheap and was back in business. Saw had trouble starting after a few uses and I was frustrated, but I diagnosed the problem being electrical. An minor ajustment of gap on magneto and it starts and runs like a champ...I mean Stihl. Parts are fairly cheap plastic but it seems to be holding up. I paired it with a Holzforma 36" bar and chain and I love it. The whole rig is heavey though and loud. Wear ear protection. If you don't have the money for a Stihl and are patient and not a pro. I recommend this product. I've had it for almosta year now and it uslly starts right up, but engine is prone to flooding every now an then so I need to let it sit a while before it will start again. Definitely worth the money.
Review: Slices trees and costs! - I felled a 32" maple tree and wanted to slab it as I had seen youtube videos of it. Did plenty of research (youtube) and decided I would either gamble on this clonesaw or make firewood. I have one large tree and this would be it. Not worth spending over $2000 on saw, bar, mill & chain. Many reviews of this saw are positive but some buyers complain about problems starting it, leaking, and horrendous Farmertec customer service. One of the sellers on desertcart buys in bulk and sells domestically so instead of 2 months delivery, it's like 4 days. Also contacted seller about warranty and he said that although Farmertec fulfills the warranty, he had stock to cover any issues in the meantime. Bought the saw, a 42" Oregon bar, Woodland Pro ripping chain, and $69 48" alaskan mill on desertcart. I am halfway through slabbing the maple tree. It is a lot more work than the youtube videos let on. Overall, I give chainsaw slabbing 3 stars. This G660 though, 5 stars! I've never used an 066 and assume it's better but I have now put about 6 tanks through my G660 without any issues at all. Now to figure out where I am going to store these 16 foot long maple slabs. Three minor issues to report though your mileage may vary. One: the small metal flap that protects the bar oil cap was busted off when I unpacked it. It must have been broken in shipping. If I broke it unpacking it then I would have to blame the manufacturer anyways. I decided it didn't matter for me as slabbing would eliminate anything banging the cap and was too excited to stop. Two: the directions to start the chainsaw were a little unclear in my opinion and I think I flooded it for the first hour that I tried to start it. For anyone else who buys this and reads this review...pull the starter handle in full choke until the saw "offers" OR IF THE DECOMPRESSION VALVE POPS. Then switch it to "1", push decompression valve again, and pull handle. I kept it in full choke and pulled and pulled and repressed the valve over and over until I saw a video that said repeatedly pulling the handle in full choke will inevitably flood any saw. When the decompression valve pops out, it offered, basically. Even if you didn't heard it rumble. I've now started it like 30 times and this always works for me. Three: I had to tune the carburetor. This isn't a big deal and you should expect to have to do it. I only add this because if I had not tuned the saw, it wouldn't be able to fully throttle up and the chain would spin at all times, both issues solved with tuning but could lead a buyer to think the saw was faulty.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1 year review
*by A***R on March 19, 2025*

1 year of putting this bad boy to the test. Still running great. Right now it’s my primary saw, my Stihl 025 is under repair, this thing still pops in 3-4 pulls cold. I run a stihl 32inch bar on it. I see a couple reviews talking about it failing with Alaskan chainsaw mill.. would not recommend. Plastic parts seem softer and cheaper than stihl. My dad has lit a stihl on fire milling.. that process is rough on saws. I wouldn’t recommend this saw to a pro. Maybe a startup company but for someone that wants a big saw for under half the price? This thing does what it’s supposed to do. Assembly was tough. Manual is garbage. Ended up only installing one of the 2 dogs.. most have lost one of the bolts for it still only running the inside dog. Carb was surprisingly dialed in. Don’t believe I’ve made any adjustments. I run stihl gas mix, use regular 87 octane gas because my saws get ran a lot. Having issues with the chain tensioner.. I can get it mostly tight but it feels like I’m going to snap it if I twist anymore. Replacement part on here says is compatible with the stihl version but not this saw which is disappointing because I was only intending on replacing with stihl parts so I’m not sure what the future holds there, but overall definitely worth the 305$ and then some. Was not expecting it to be as powerful and reliable as it is.
