I was worried after reading some negative reviews; however, after much consideration I decided to give them a try. I bought them in Black. I bought them to wear around the house, but might consider wearing them out once putting a stitch on either side at the top of split to avoid showing too much! Okay, I am 5’2, short-waisted, and (unfortunately) waaaay overweight. My waist is at least 39-40” and my weight is 178 lbs. Ouch! I bought an XXL, but I see now that I could probably have purchased an XL. There is ample room as far as the waist elastic stretches. I might could try a Large, but I don’t want to push it! Yes, it would be nice if the elastic used was wider, but that feature was probably reduced to keep these at a good price point. Now, with lighter colors, you could very well experience some transparency, but I tend to lean toward darker colors. Wearing them out in the evening and a dark color?
