Review: Safety glasses are required - The rough cut wood siding on the house had paint flaking and pealing off. This tool made it fairly easy to get that paint off and prep the surface for final sanding. It does take some practice but a light touch got the paint off without overly damaging the siding allowing the final sanding to dress things up pretty well. It is absolutely necessary to wear safety glasses as the metal flails eventually work loose and fly off. One might want to wear blue jeans or similar to protect the legs as well. Short story, it worked so well getting half the house sorted out and wearing the tool out in the process that I didn't hesitate to buy a replacement to finish the project.
Review: Paint Stripper & Rust Remover for Drill - Has worked great at removing paint on metal chairs that need rust removed & repainting. Areas that paint has not come off but have been hit by the Stripper are rough & need sanding to clean it up. I have not tried it on wood yet but worry it may beet the wood up requiring a lot of sanding and/or wood filling to clean up. When I have a chance to use on wood I'll add my thoughts on that latter.

**Q: will this remove paint and rust from steel I beams**
A: I believe it would remove loose paint and rust.

**Q: How well would this work striping paint from red brick. answer only if you have used it on brick please.**
A: I didn't use it on red brick, but yellow, and it will work well.  Use only light pressure, otherwise the reverse-direction tines are prone to breaking off.  Use a manual wire brush as well.

**Q: Will this take the paint off my old wood deck**
A: It's metal and might be hard on the wood and make surface uneven. You would probably have to sand it to take out pits.
I would use a product made for removing paint.

**Q: i have found it to gouge the moulding on my door frame, could this be because i am using to much pressure?**
A: You probably shouldn't use it on soft wood, as the tines will chip or dent it.  This newer model has tines that face in both directions, which means that you are always going to have some that are going to try to penetrate the surface of whatever you are using it on.  I haven't seen any lately, but if you can find one with the tines all facing the same direction, you'll have much more control over the finish.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Paint Stripper & Rust Remover for Drill

Has worked great at removing paint on metal chairs that need rust removed & repainting. Areas that paint has not come off but have been hit by the Stripper are rough & need sanding to clean it up. I have not tried it on wood yet but worry it may beet the wood up requiring a lot of sanding and/or wood filling to clean up. When I have a chance to use on wood I'll add my thoughts on that latter.

### ⭐ It doesn't work

The product is supposed to strip paint. I purchased it to help strip an old radiator for repainting. It was less effective than whacking the metal with a hammer or chipping tool. My drill runs at the required speed and I've had long experience with construction and refinishing. The radiator had already been 85%, or better, stripped, manually, before the tool arrived. So this should have been quick and easy, given that tool had been designed—and advertised–as a device that removes paint from metal. The video I've included isn't the best, because in trying to use the tool and film I often miss-aimed. But you can see the stripper in action, and the total lack of effect on the paint remaining on the radiator. The best it could do is remove a few chips and polish the surface it was supposed to be removing paint from. But worse than not removing the paint, was that the tool's tines tangled if the tool was not barely in contact with the surface, which means that it's useless on anything but a flat surface, even if it did remove paint. I short: it seems like a great idea, but in practice it doesn't work.
