Could not find Copyright notice on Amazon or in book as is required for copyright protection. Book was selected because of reviews.2. I am a former US Forest Service Fireline Paramedic. Certification is no longer valid, am now re-certifying first as EMT as is required.3. Several mistakes convinces me that this is old material. Old, no longer used certifications are used in this book. EMT-B or Basic is no longer a certification. The new EMT certification approximates the training of the old I-85. I-99 is gone with the new certification as AEMT. My current course is at 152 hours plus Ambulance and Hospital rotations for the new EMT. The certified EMT_B under new NREMT regulations must take transition course and re=examination for new EMT certification.4. Clinical mistakes appear here too. The Trendlenburg position is now contraindicated as a shock treatment. Head lower than feet can cause an artificially higher BP reading which could cause health care practitioners to miss the vital signs of Decompensated Shock. This is a potentially deadly mistake for the patient, almost certainly deadly to a child.Pg 11 States a child's tongue is larger than the mouth, not so. It is proportionately larger than an adult's. Pg 14 Infant Airway procedure 5 back-blows and 5 chest compressions. Pg 15 Cricoid pressure in young children is contraindicated. It included materials from each section that are tested on the exam. The book was well organized. I wouldn't recommend just studying this book, but instead studying this book with other materials also. In addition to this book, I also used the EMT crash course book and Emergency care by Limmer.
