Review: Good cam for torque - I am very happy with this cam. I needed more torque to push my buggy and this did the job. Initially I just had the cam. It did bring more power and torque, but it wasn't the whole answer. I paired it with a 27mm intake and a 26mm PWK carb and it is like a whole different motor. What used to be poochy is now awake, strong, and very responsive. I can't speak to the durability it has only been a few miles. I am very happy with the performance once I let it breathe.
Review: Solid upgrade over stock, noticable torque increase in the middle rpm range. - Works great, keeps my gy6 169cc scooters power strong in the 6.5k to 7.8k rpm. Added a lot more power in the middle rpm range and some improvment on the low end, I don't feel like i lose any power with a second rider, seems to keep the torque higher in the mid range with a down curve at 8k rpm. At 8k, it seems like it just hits a wall, guess it runs out of breath. With my setup I reach 63mph at 8k rpm on a worn stock belt and 67mph using a new 842 belt.

**Q: Will the camshaft need heavier valve springs**
A: did not put springs in and still works a year later

**Q: Will this fit in the original head? Im adding a bored cylinder but keeping the original head.**
A: yes

**Q: Will this improve performance if you just put it on the 150 without a big bore**
A: On mine, I got a bit more torque in the lower end.  If you're looking for a higher top speed, however, this won't do it on it's own. For that, you'll need more power out of the motor (cam, big bore) and to change the gear ratio in the back, probably new valve springs as well.
That said, a cam and new final gears still won't increase your top speed alone, you really need that big bore.

Short answer: improved performance? yes, better low end torque giving you a little extra acceleration. higher top speed? no.

This is the second one of these I have purchased. There was nothing wrong with the first one until the oil pump went out. Lack of lubrication led to premature wearing of the cam lobes. It was still going strong at over 25,000 miles. I'd say that's pretty good for a $15 cam. I opted for the A8 cam and it makes a ton of power over the stock cam. I've got it in a ported and polished head with racing valves and valve springs. I don't think this cam would give you much power in a stock engine. Mostly because a stock head doesn't breathe well enough and OEM components aren't going to hold together very long at the revs this cam makes power at. It doesn't really hit it's stride until 7000-8000 rpm. It's still pulling hard at 10,000 rpm. At those revs you're going to need quality springs, retainers, valves, and a forged piston. You're also going to need a CDI that can keep up and a long list of other mods to really benefit from a cam this hot. I'll tell you right now though, with those mods in place this cam will make serious power. I got a GPS confirmed 71mph from a 155cc GY6.
