In addition, the TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) surround they incorporate stabilises the surround to achieve better control, and even greater neutrality and linearity.

I have a set of 20 year old 5 1/4 inch Focal in the rear doors, so natural upgrade from Alpine DD Drive components in front doors. I have heard so much online about how good these speakers are. I have a set of 20 year old 5 1/4 inch Focal in the rear doors, so natural upgrade from Alpine DD Drive components in front doors. Very easy to install great sound quality, I would say that they need to be amplified to get the best out of them. This will be next step for me.
