It's longer than the "typical" shawl, so it stays draped nicely no matter which way I arrange it. The weight and feel of the fabric is wonderful - it provides just the right amount of warmth in cooler weather, but isn't too heavy when it's warmer out.The Gaiatri mantra is clearly woven into the fabric - a great reminder for me to do a little chanting on my way to work, or wherever I happen to be heading!There were no washing instructions, so I contacted the manufacturer - they promptly responded that I could machine wash it in cool water on the delicate cycle. I've laundered it several times now in a lingerie bag, using Woolite, and spread the shawl out to air dry. It has kept its shape and color throughout the 1-1/2 years I've owned it.I get lots of compliments when I wear it, and would highly recommend it to anyone. Check out the Gaiatri mantra on YouTube too - it's enchanting! :-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice OM shawl *by C***9 on Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2013* This rayon shawl is a great size, color, weight and design. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because there are a number of flaws in the one I received. I didn't expect perfection for $30. As far as washing, I couldn't find any instructions. So I did a delicate rinse cycle in cold water (did not wash), then let it spin for about a minute and hung it to dry after gently smoothing out the wrinkles. I was careful not to stretch it since a number of websites said rayon is weak when wet. After it dried, it looks great and still has that pretty sheen. I think it is a real bargain. ### ⭐⭐ Poor quality, darker color, overpriced. *by L***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2015* For $30 the quality is awful. A bunch of flaws, red threads that were weaved into it. Could pull some out but the quality is just not there for the money. It's the type you buy at the fleamarket for $5-$10. Unfortunately this is not a common fleamarket pattern because I'd probably buy it for around $10 at the most. My other issue is that the "turquoise" is a dark teal. Nice color but not the color that's pictured.
