I shared 1 picture with the label removed so you can see how many flies it has captured over a 3 week time span. This fly trap is not far away from the back patio. I have 2 fly traps on that tree. The second picture is out by our live stock pens. Its not as easy to see, but it also highly effective. I will warn you they do have an unpleasant smell - which is why they work so well !!!!! When I change these out I pour the contents of the catch into a plastic grocery bag and then put the grocery bag into another grocer bag, then into a garbage bag and then into the garbage to prevent the smell from spreading. The amount of flies caught is so gross!! That's what I paid for. I do live in a very dry desert environment and I do add water through out the weeks as the water evaporates so fast. Easy to do. Our neighborhood has a lot of new homes being built and naturally the workers leave food and trash all over the jobsites and the flies just keep coming from all directions. Mine is about 20 feet away from our patio, and on the wrong gust of wind and a hot day you can catch a nice gust of horse and other animal manure which is what attracts all the flies. But as long as you have it up and going there will continue to be flies because they are attracted to this fly trap. The flies will keep coming. The smell is hard to tolerate. We had it going for 5 days and a ton of flies were trapped and killed which is SUPER GREAT! The smell is really strong and offensive, even to the neighbors if they are close by. So it kills tons of flies and has a sickening smell.
