He is a sailor, and needed something to search for buoys when entering a dark harbor. A couple weeks ago, I was on the boat with him and was assigned the duty of keeping watch for the buoys. Maybe in lumens, maybe in waterproof depth or some other single thing. But for the best overall package, size, lumens, price, inclusion, indestructibility, you are not going to beat this light. This is my second one only because the first was stolen. Everyone i show it to winds up buying one too. I previously had the MH20 from Nitecore and loved it to death. I rigged together a contraption to get it mounted to my helmet for dirt bike riding at night and it worked better than a headlight (no pun intended). This P12 is just as bright but also allows me to stick on the pressure switch on the back end. Super nice and I really don't see myself getting any other flashlights after trying out Nitecore.
