I believe softening the tube with hot water helped and it barely fit. It seems tight and solid. I'm sorry that I can test it in use since it's winter with below freezing temperatures . First connected it, but got loose at some connections. After a few try. Found that I have to push the tube in as far as it can get over the hump, then wrap teflon tape about 10 layers and tighten it.then it worked without leaking or disconnecting!
