I don't wear coats a lot, but a jacket like this is nice and rugged. If it gets dirty, it is easy to just throw in to a normal wash and not worry about drying it. It also fits extremely well. I can never find jackets or shirts that fit, especially in the sleeve as I am 6'8" with a wing span of about 7'. I believe I even have room to grow. It has great texture on the outside and its simple, the inside has a great thinsulate like liner which IS really warm yet thin. The jacket has a great weight to it as well not too heave not to light.
