This AC Infinity stuff is a different kettle of fish altogether! It's really sturdy, you can tell its got those four layers they talk about. Was a bit of a wrestle getting it connected up, like trying to tame a shiny silver python, but once it was on with a couple of jubilee clips, it felt solid. The 8 feet length was more than enough, had a bit to spare. Dryer seems to be working more efficient now too.
